Down in the Dig…
Spent some time last Sunday walking through the new Central Artery Tunnel with Amie, her dad, Lynn, and a mere 600,000 others. The lines were so very long, but it was indeed worth the wait. When the tunnel opens in December (so they say), I’ll have a completely different perspective and appreciation for it than I otherwise would have. For your own virtual tour, check out some photos I took here.
Just Announced : Boston Film Fest Schedule…
Sweet. Last year I wasn’t paying attention and missed most of the Boston Film Festival, but managed to catch an award presentation to Steve Martin, and a screening of his film Novocaine.
This year, I’m much better prepared. I won’t be missing appearances by Harvey Keitel and Tim ‘Delmar’ Blake Nelson (unfortunately they’re scheduled against Mark Ruffalo), or this years award presentation to William H. Macy. Almost 40 films will screen at this years fest, including Secretary, which I’ve really been looking forward to. New this year: First come, first served, with no advance tickets… which means lots of standing in line. Ah well. Bring on the celluloid overdose.
My Next Obsession…
Here it comes. Rockstar Games’ much-anticipated follow-up to Grand Theft Auto 3, and it’s called GTA: Vice City. Set in the 80’s, and packed with improvements: More cars, a city twice the size, and buildings you can actually explore this time around. Guess I’d better hurry up and actually finish GTA3.
Pong Gone Wrong
Yet another internet time-sucker. It’s called Curveball, and I’m not sure I have the patience to outscore Killian.
