91 degrees with the sun and the skin on full display in downtown Boston. We’ve have officially skipped Spring, and I think it’s my fault. You see, I have four little sculptures hanging in my livingroom, each depicting a season. The Spring one fell and broke, and I have yet to replace it. Better get on that. Actually, no.
I blinked and a week went by. An incredible, warm-weather week… with citywide walks, relaxing lunch breaks, intense in-home workouts, band practices, burgers on the grill, and baseball broadcasts on the tube. Once again, there is nothing whatsoever to whine about. How about that?
The Worth of a Thousand Words…
One of the reasons it’s been a week since my last entry, aside from summer’s early arrival and less time on the web, is the fact that my free computer time has been spent updating the photo section of my little web site. Click the photos link to the left and you’ll see what I mean. New photos of friends, pets, bands, boston… all sorts o’ images. And there is still so much to do.
“Don’t You Just Love the Sun?…
Doesn’t It Make You Feel Good All Over?”
As the heat peaked at 91, I strolled down Newbury to purchase the new Pedro the Lion cd. It is as good as I hoped… maybe better. It’s sinking in deeply already. My Spring (no, Summer) soundtrack is taking shape.
Ce Soir at 608
Check the info on the left… there’s a cool show tonight at 608 (formerly Lilli’s) in Somerville. Kimchee Records night, with lots o’ great people playing, including Chris Brokaw, Seana Carmody, Tiger Saw, and Victory at Sea. If I can drag my ass out after practice, I’ll be there. Weeknights get tougher & tougher, the mornings after get rougher & rougher. I am not yet old.
Later on Links
I have catalogued waaaay too many links over the past week… an overwhelming number that will take far more time to comment upon than I have time to give. Perhaps later.
