Cousin Kasten’s Creativity / Carl With a K’s Conversion

Awhile back I mentioned my super-talented art-student cousin Kasten, and I linked to some of her work up on the web. Well, she’s finally got her Art Injury website finished, and it’s filled with food for the eyes n’ brain. Drawings, paintings, illustrations, and more. Go, look, get inspired.
You’ll notice a new link on the ‘frequented friends’ list to the right. It’ll take you straight to Jason & Eric’s journals, which reside on their record label’s website. They started Icebox to release their own music, and stuff by their friends, so check out some mp3s. While I don’t know Eric all that well (I think we may have met once), Jason Cooley and I go back aways, to when I used to live, work, and make music in Burlington, Vermont. I’ve still got a stack of his old Schoolbus ‘zines in a box, and they’re just as good now as I thought they were then. Jason’s a cool guy, a really talented musician, and after reading through his entries, I dig his journal, too. Same goes for Eric, actually… their words are worth a read, and they update often enough for frequent visits. So there ya go.
Back on the Howard Dean tip, check out Carl with a K’s Dean Page, a read how he came to discover our candidate, after years of political involvement, and a dark period as an avid republican. He’s also got a great report on Dean’s appearance at the California Democratic Party State Convention last week (check out his front page).
