A
night that kicks off with a near-knife-fight is almost always guaranteed to be a good one.
Parking spaces were hard to come by, strings were broken, amps were lugged up four flights
of stairs that felt like twenty, and phantom radio waves threatened to disrupt the
evening; but sparklers were lit, ice-cold beer was consumed in cans, fresh-baked cookies
were eaten, and good times were allegedly had by all. The impact of Bill Morrison's
experimental film "Decasia" on a certain also-ran was somewhat dulled by an
after- show screening of "Bring It On" back at home in Somerville.

the night |
"It
looked like that ice fisherman was digging a hole straight into your skull."
