[Boston-Area Action 4/9/25] Shows This Week & New Show Announcements
Posted on April 9, 2025 at 12:19 pm | No Comments
Hi. How are you? You don’t have to answer that. Instead, just read this weekly Wednesday list of Boston-area shows I’m hoping to attend over the next week, along with recent announcements of shows that strike my fancy and might strike yours. If there are show announcements, or ones happening this week, that you’re into but I haven’t listed, feel free to toss them in the comments.
I’d be remiss to not call out a show I helped put together that we just announced on Friday, but more on that later: SAVAK, Lupo città, The Whimbrels, & Andy Cohen of Silkworm at O’Brien’s on June 21st.
As always, the full list of shows on my radar is in the right column of the Almanac over there —>>

First, my ideal week ahead, which starts tonight with a show that stretches the definition of Boston-area to the max. And there are like four shows tomorrow that I want to go to, which… just isn’t going to happen. Another brutal conflict: Friday night, with my fave of the Kids in the Hall, Bruce McCulloch, up against Mogwai & Brainiac, up against the first night of the Dark Spring fest. Well, Spring has definitely effin’ sprung…
